Jogging isn’t something I do for fun – cuz it’s not. I do it because I like my jeans to fit. Pure and simple. So it’s a win-win when I can help someone else in the process of making my jeans fit.
Such is the situation I find myself in after signing up to run a 5K for the first time ever. Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic is hosting the event so people like you and me can help them. You don’t have to know where Whatcom County is and you don’t have to get off your couch to help. You can just sponsor me, who lives in Whatcom County (a.k.a. Edge of Nowhere, USA), when I get off my couch.
If this is insufficient motivation for you (I know motivation is hard to muster from the couch), I offer you another benefit to getting virtually involved: free books.
When the 5K is over (and I’ve sufficiently recovered to get back off my couch), I’ll randomly select five of my sponsors to get free copies of Living Whole Without a Better Half and A Match Made in Heaven: How Singles and the Church Can Live Happily Ever After. Read them yourself or share them with a friend.
I hope to partner with you to help a great cause!
P.S. If you read all the fine print on my sponsor site, you’ll see an offer for free cookies instead of free books. That offer stands here, too, and I won’t think the less of you for choosing cookies over books I poured my heart and soul into…Really. I won’t. 🙂 I just didn’t want to clutter the post. 🙂
